Knife Party

Festival Tour

2014 marked the start of a beautiful working relationship between Australian electronic dance music duo Knife Party and ER Productions, with the two forces joining together multiple times to put on a spectacular display of music and lasers.

It was a baptism of fire for both the band and ER Productions, who embarked on a gruelling 6-date tour as part of Australia’s Future Music Festival. ER Productions needed to provide stunning laser effects that could be easily rigged and transported, and this took the shape of 80 red Lase-Array as part of an eight laser system.

To enhance the atmosphere, six Viper deLuxe smoke machines were used for the tour, which also featured a performance in Kuala Lumpur. Hard work and team cooperation were a vital necessity to get such vast volumes of equipment moved and set up in a short space of time!

Moving into 2015, ER Productions accompanied Knife Party  throughout the group’s summer festival season.

The collaboration began at Paradiso Festival, a two-day electronic dance music festival held in Washington, United States. This was bookended by a crowd pleasing performance at Seattle’s Life is Beautiful festival in September, with a series of European gigs in between.

When Knife Party landed in the UK to play the Reading, Leeds and Wireless festivals, ER Productions created captivating laser displays for the band’s sets.

The collaboration continued later into 2015, which ER Productions provided lighting for Knife Party’s performance in Brixton, London, on 31st October – which the duo announced using a quote from cult horror film, The Crow.
