Kylie Minogue

Kiss Me Once Tour

When pop legend Kylie Minogue hit the road for Kiss Me Once, her fourteenth international live tour, in November 2014, ER Productions provided laser effects for the 35-date masterpiece.

Only the best-of-the-best were selected to work with Kylie, whose tour costumes were designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, Julien Macdonald and Dolce & Gabbana. ER’s brief was to bring the same drama and creativity to the staging, which is why 273 watts of laser power were used to complete the set.

Pièce de résistance were mapping laser effects on a huge steel structure, designed to give an industrial metallic feel to the latter part of the set, which included a cover version of the INXS classic, I Need You Tonight.

Acute precision was needed for this part of the show, and five bespoke wing mirrors were designed and built to attach to the front of the lasers, which were used for creating scanning effects on the stage.

Using diffraction effects, lasers were beamed across the audience; there were 67 projection zones in total, to ensure the princess of pop gave fans a glittering performance.

Kylie’s Kiss Me Once world tour was met by a rapturous reception. Digital Spy proclaimed “Minogue shows no signs of stopping yet”, while The Sydney Morning Herald remarked that the “light-up disco scaffolding provided a fun backdrop”.

The icing on the cake for ER Productions was the ‘Best Live Stage Show’ 2015 ILDA award in recognition of all the hard work that went into creating the shows for Kylie!
