Renowned musicians are often asked to play a variety of gigs from stadium fillers to intimate sets – as a result staging their performances can be a demanding challenge.

 

Over the past 7 years, ER Productions has worked closely with international DJ Fatboy Slim to provide dramatic laser effects for a vast array of venues.

From huge cargo carriers to private jets, ER Productions has needed to overcome not just the challenges of rigging and running lasers in venues of differing sizes, but also the transportation of highly valuable equipment.

​

Among the major live events ER Productions has provided laser effects for are Fatboy Slim’s Glastonbury Festival performance in 2009, South Africa World Cup 2012, the 2013 Future Music Festival, Brazil World Cup Tour 2014 and Creamfields 2015.

The cherry on the cake, though, was when ER Productions developed a laser scheme and bespoke rig for Fatboy Slim’s performance at The Amex Stadium – home to Brighton and Hove Albion and local ground for the successful DJ.

​

With 50,000 partygoers revelling over two nights, the event required a big rig! This featured 80-metre-long screens supplying 14 powered laser systems, totalling 154 watts of laser power. Full colour beams stretched out across the floor, positioned especially to provide wow factor for the whole crowd, regardless of where they were standing or sitting.

​

At the end of the Amex Stadium gig, Fatboy Slim’s management used the word ‘spectacular’ to describe the show.
