HR Advisor - Dartford

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR Advisor to join our industry-leading, award-winning company. 

 

Based at our Head Office, in Dartford, Kent, you will be responsible for managing all HR processes for our office in the UK and also for our office in Las Vegas. The perfect candidate will have generalist experience in HR best practice, learning and development, induction, as well as staff logistics and the administration behind it. We are a small organisation with 40 members of full-time staff, but you will have a varied and wide range of responsibilities. The main role of the HR Advisor is detailed here as a guide but is not limited to these tasks:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Being the first point of call for any HR-related queries
  • Managing the recruitment and induction process for all areas of the business, including writing job descriptions, attending interviews and completing relevant paperwork for new joiners
  • Managing the sickness records for all employees and preparing monthly sickness reports, identifying trends and supporting the managers with improvement plans, occupational health referrals and return to work meetings
  • Provide advice to management on employee relations issues such as disciplinary; capability; sickness absence management, probation and maternity leave
  • Conducting appraisals and identifying training requirements for all staff
  • Organising individual training sessions throughout the year and maintaining the training records
  • Tracking staff holidays, days in lieu and overtime claims
  • Tracking overtime and collecting monthly claims
  • Managing visa applications for staff travelling abroad
  • Designing and implementing company policies
  • Updating and managing all confidential employee records
  • Crew and staff scheduling
  • Onboarding and management of freelance staff, keeping training and insurance up to date, and records of driving licenses and passports, adhering to GDPR
  • Monitor show/event reports and relaying issues to management
  • Monitor and manage vehicle driving records
  • Able to travel abroad 1-2 times per year to meet with overseas staff
  • Able to travel to shows across the UK to monitor and to get an understanding of how the business operates

  • Be discreet and trustworthy
  • Experience in HR working for an SME
  • Qualification in HR

Salary: Dependent on experience
