De-Prep Manager

We want applicants that have experience working in live events and a good understating of laser or special effetc, have a willingness to learn and improve and have brilliant can do attitude.

Purpose of the role

To ensure that the de-prep teams are correctly resourced and run efficiently so that de-preps run smoothly and in a reasonable time. Ensure that the de-preps meet the standards set out by ER Productions and that all warehouse safety guidelines are followed.

To ensure all de-prep equipment is cleaned, tested and correctly put away. Any damaged equipment is logged on Current and sent to quarantine so stock levels stay correct.

You will be working in a fast paced international business across multiple time zones at high profile festivals, shows and tours, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of live event technology, must understand DMX, ARTNET and data distribution

  • Computer literate, understanding of computer networks and IP address, able to navigate server systems and online booking systems

  • Must understand show and event power distribution systems

  • At lest 2 years experience in the live events industry in a technical capacity

  • Experience working with lasers and / or special effects preferred but not essential

  • At least 1 year experience managing teams of 4 or more

    As a De-Prep Manager your responsibilities will include:

    • Ensure the de-prep team manages the return of equipment back from shows smoothly. That ER Productions de-prep procedure are followed, job sheets and box count done and equipment is correctly checked in on Current.

    • Ensure that each of the de-prep teams run effectively and in a timely manner, that all equipment back from shows is thoroughly tested, cleaned and meets the standards set out by ER Productions 

    • To ensure that each de-prep team is correctly resourced to allow them to fulfil

    • their tasks. To ensure any damaged equipment is logged on Current and sent to quarantine.

    • Ensure that all de-prepped equipment is handed over to the warehouse team, working together

    • with the warehouse team return equipment to the warehouse. To ensure any damaged flight case are sent to the workshop manager for repair and that all base plates and Scaff is sent to the workshop manager for painting.

    • To ensure all empty flight case are cleaned and stored away ready for the next show with all labels removed.

    • Ensure the De-prep team has what it needs to be efficient, cleaning products, spare parts for equipment and that they are properly resourced with additional crew if needed
