Pre-Fall Men’s collection, Toyko
ER created a dazzling multi-colour laser light show for one of the world’s top fashion houses.
ER Productions was thrilled to be commissioned to light up the catwalk for the ionic fashion brand, Christian Dior at the end of 2018. The prestigious event, attended by hundreds, including a number of high-profile celebrities, was to celebrate the launch of the men’s Pre-Fall collection, designed by creative director, Kim Jones.
Dior, well-known for their opulence and sought-after designer products, required a stunningly-extravagant show. Set in the spherical catwalk, at the Telecom Center building, in Tokyo, a 40-foot fembot sculpture, designed by Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama, dominated its centre.
ER rigged a staggering 130 of their very own award-winning Kinekt, connecting, modular, scanning lasers, and 12 full colour all OPSL lasers (EX10s), to create an astounding display. The laser fixtures were angled down to illuminate the huge robot woman’s silver skin, whilst the models showcased the new collection on the runway below.
“It’s not often that you get to work on a design around a giant robot statue and we relished the opportunity. We used a multi-colour palette to achieve a futuristic, electronic look, in line with Hajime’s “hypermodern reality of Japanese culture” theme.” said Ryan Hagan, co-founder of ER Productions.
“It was an honour to collaborate on such a creative project with Dior. This is a stand-out job, which will be hard to beat!” continued Hagan.
