Miami Ultra
2017

Back at Miami Ultra for the second year running, British laser specialist, ER Productions, supported Alesso, Chase & Status and Axwell ^ Ingrosso during their headline closing set at the prestigious EDM festival

Lawrence Wright, ER Productions’ US project manager and laser designer, worked closely with Axwell ^ Ingrosso’s lighting director, Andy Hurst, at the duo’s warm up show in New York prior to Ultra, where much of the laser design for Ultra was laid down.
Creating totally unique, immersive laser shows for EDM artists and their audiences is a forte of the multiple award-winning company.

For Ultra 2017, diffraction units sent 1000s of laser beams into the crowd, with high powered scanning units spreading laser effects across the whole stage and overhead.
ER Productions set up five new Phaenon Pro 30000 scanning systems on the Main Ultra Stage, which offer best in class power and brightness.
“To compliment the Phaenon systems, we used BB3s, RGB Beambursts and Laserblades, all of which were designed and manufactured by ER Productions.

Although we used the same kit for both Axwell ^ Ingrosso and Alesso’s performances on the main stage, the lasers were configured differently, which gave each act a uniquely choreographed laser look”, commented Wright following the show.
“Over on the live Stage, we supplied Chase & Status with a package of Laserblades and BB3 units, which were operated by Andy Hurst”, he continued.
Having developed strong relationships with local suppliers, Wright and his crew integrated and programmed additional kit into the shows, making Ultra ER’s largest festival show this year!
Using robust kit is key to overcoming many of the environmental challenges faced at festivals.

In the case of Ultra, Tropical storms rolled in throughout the day and night however, the experienced team rose to the challenge delivering a flawless product despite the torrential rain.
“Ultra is such a prestigious event and it has been a huge pleasure to be involved for the second year running. 2017 was a tremendous show, the staff were a pleasure to work with and we hope to be back again next year”,  Wright concluded.
