We want applicants that have experience working in the live events sector, have a willingness to learn and improve and have brilliant can do attitude. The purpose of the role is for you to learn and to move upwards in ER into a touring technician position. 
 

You will be working in a fast paced international business working to tight deadlines and last minute changes, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience:
 

  • At Least 2 years experience in the live events

  • Thorough understanding of laser, SFX or lighting systems used in live events. 

  • Highly organised and able to deal with multiple projects at once

  • Computer literate and understanding of fixed IP address networks

  • At Least 1 year experience operating at live events

  • Ability to solder DMX cables and make and repair power cables from powercon to three phase connectors

  • Commitment, committed to getting the job done to the very best of your ability no matter what.

  • Ability to take the initiative, work alone and lead where others fail to do so. Supports colleges at work, emotionally and socially, enjoys working in a team.

  • Takes pride in achieving tasks with high level of attention to detail and with the upmost professionalism

 

As a show technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare equipment for rental using the equipment allocated to the job via ER's booking system. Ensure that the equipment used is fully functioning and has all the correct accessories and that preps are completed in their entirety as a complete system

  • Keep up to date with the latest programming techniques and software.

  • Be available to perform shows, which could be local or abroad for day's, weeks or months

  • While on the road keep the equipment in full working order, repair equipment where possible. Advise the ops manager and arrange replacement parts as required to keep the touring rig complete and operational with spares

  • While at ER, assist with maintenance, repairs, demo's, programming & R&D
